IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Jay Michael
Hardin
January 1, 1977 – January 30, 2025
Jay Michael Hardin, 48, of Denton, passed away on January 30, 2025. He was born in Irving, Texas, on January 1st, 1977, to Billy and Rebecca Hardin.
He grew up in Louisiana before making his way back to his home state, growing up and eventually starting a family with his first wife, Brandy Baker, the mother of his two sons. As the years went by, he eventually met his now wife, Heather Briscoe, the mother of his daughter. He now had his family, his biggest accomplishment.
He was a man of many values, values that he held strong; he taught his family to lead by example, be there for one another, and treat everyone with respect. He was a warm and welcoming person; he loved music and comics, but most of all, he loved working on vehicles. Whether it be repairing his own truck or helping out his kids with an unexpected repair. It was really all just an excuse to spend more time with them or teach them something new; spending time with his kids meant the world to him.
He loved to use his hands to build and fix things, and this was reflected in his work. He worked for many years in the telecommunications field as a lineman, engineer, etc., where he eventually met his best friend and brother, Edward Walker. Jay knew the industry from the floor up and took great pride in the fact that he was helping his community and others through his work. He was the epitome of a provider; he always made sure his family was taken care of and even extended that sense of love to the friends of his kids. Inviting them over for the holidays and making sure they had somewhere to celebrate, he wanted everyone to feel like they belonged. Jay was many things, but he was Father before anything else.
Jay is survived by his wife, Heather Briscoe; his two sons, Skyler & Cameron Hardin; his daughter, Saphira; and his brothers, Edward Walker, Jamie & Corey Cooper. Lastly, his daughter-in-law, Emily, and Cameron's partner, Richelle Yeselevige.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, from 5-7PM at DeBerry Funeral Directors in Denton, Texas.
