Evelyn Jeanette Doty, 76 of Denton, Texas passed away on Monday, February 19, 2018. She was born on August 18, 1941 in Valley View, Texas to Clifton and Verna Ruth Spindle.

She was an accomplished seamstress, amazing cook and loving mother and grandmother. Until retirement, she worked as an accountant and contributed her skills to many charities.

Jeanette is survived by two daughters, Darla Doty Scott and Nelson Shaw of Aubrey, Texas, Donna Doty Love and Chris Zwinggi of Gainesville, Texas; son, Robert Dwayne (Cody) Doty; and three grandchildren, Jessica and Michael Amerman, Clayton Love, Haley Scott and two great grandchildren, Kenzi Amerman and Kason Love. Also survived by four sisters, Sue Luthi and husband Dick, Annette Straubmueller and husband Mort, Kay Barclay, Joye Williams and husband Mack, brother, Cliff Spindle and wife Trina.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Clifton and Verna Ruth Spindle, and son-in-law Paul Scott.

Family will receive friends on Thursday, February 22, 2018 from 6-8 P.M. at DeBerry Funeral Directors in Denton, Texas. Funeral services will held on Friday, February 23, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. at the First Baptist Church of Valley View. Interment will follow at the Valley View Cemetery.
