Jefferson Lee Smith was called to the Lord on February 23, 2023. Jeff was born to John and Marilyn Joan (Lewis) Smith on March 10th, 1966 in Dallas, Texas. Jeff grew up in Dallas with his brother Chris and attended W.T. White High School. Jeff went on to proudly serve in the U.S. Army Signal Corps. Jeff returned to pursue his love of the arts and received his Associate of Applied Arts in Visual Communications from the Art Institute of Dallas.

At age 25, Jeff met and married the love of his life, Kelly, and made their home in Denton, Texas. They went on to have two boys, Jonathan (1992) and Jace (1995). Jeff took part in coaching both of his son's baseball for a number of years and they became High School State Champions.

Jeff is survived by his wife Kelly; his two sons, Jonathan and Jace (Kourtnee); and his grandson, Maddox Lee Smith; brother Chris Smith (Vivian); three brothers-in-law; three sisters-in-law; and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at the Denton County Cowboy Church on Friday, March 3, 2023, at 3:00 p.m. Interment will be held at Roselawn Memorial Park following the service.

Pallbearers: Roger Hall, Matt Waggoner, Stacey Hager, Pete Maugans, Billy Austin, Tommy Norton, Mike Williams, and A.J. Thomas.

Honorary Pallbearers: Chris Smith (Brother), Jonathan Smith (Son), Jace Smith (Son).
