It is with profound sadness that the family of Jefferson Davis Nixon, II announce his peaceful passing on January 1, 2025, at the age of 53 years. He was born in Yazoo City, MS on February 12, 1971. He attended Humphreys Academy, Belzoni, MS, South Gwinnett High School, Snellville, GA, Mississippi Delta Community College, Moorhead, MS. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Jeff Lamar Kiker and Evelyn Kiker of Belzoni, MS, Edward Eugene Nixon and Nancy Nixon of Holly Bluff, MS, and his aunts Sondra Kiker of Brandon, MS, and Susan Kiker of Hattiesburg, MS.
Jeff will be lovingly remembered and survived by his children, son Grant Nixon and daughter Alyssa Nixon, Denton, TX and their mother Donna Nixon. He is also survived by his father, Rusty Nixon (Shirley) of Yazoo City, MS, mother, Laura Bradley, (Bill) of Krum, TX; Sisters, Shana Nixon Shisler (Christopher) of Argyle, TX, Shea Kracheck of McKinney, TX, and Michelle Stephens (Marcus) of Aubrey, TX. He is also survived by his step-brother Robert J. Walker (De'Ann) and step-sister Angie Crabtree (Tracy). He is also survived by his uncles, Jeff Lamar Kiker, Jr of Brandon, MS, Randy Drakford Kiker of Leland, MS, and Mark Nixon (Gayle) and aunt Mary Jane Peaster (Tommy) of Yazoo City, MS, his aunt Alex Cox (Jimmy)from Crane Hill, AL. In addition to his adult family members, he adored and left in passing his immediate nieces and nephews including Paiten Curtis, Maelie Cooke, Alayna Stephens, Emma Kracheck, Brayden Stephens, Jacob Kracheck, and Keenan Nixon.
Jeff was an avid outdoorsman who loved the lake life, especially fishing and making memories on his favorite boat. Jeff loved entertaining, spending quality time first and foremost with his children, along with many close friends and family. He was a music enthusiast having an interest in many favorite genres, he enjoyed playing the drums from an early age, never missing a beat. Jeff highly enjoyed cooking, he was a master on the pit and turned up the heat to impress friends and family. Jeff had a distinguished career in the automobile industry leading to many long lasting friends and great achievements. Known for his charismatic sense of humor and wittiness he made a lasting impression to many. He carried a fearless adventurous zest for life and a need for speed from early childhood throughout his entire adult years. He was strong in his ability to easily adapt, giving him resilience and strength in all that he pursued. Jeff valued hard work, honesty, and the value of a man's word making an everlasting impact in many ways throughout his life. Inspiring and encouraging others in his own special way, he built unbreakable bonds, and bridged the gap between stranger and friend through his unwavering trust and dedication to others.
A celebration of Jeff's life will be held at a later date organized by DeBerry Funeral Directors in Denton, TX.
