Jeffery Gene Slocum, 65 of Denton Texas. Jeff was born in Bourne, Massachusetts on September 7, 1955. He passed away at UT Southwestern Clements Hospital on Monday July 12, 2021 after a battle with Esophagus Cancer and other medical complications.

Survived by his wife Chris Slocum and their children, Hayley Slocum of Frisco boyfriend Adam Emmer, Cassandra Stinson of Lake Dallas and fiance Pete Esqueda, Daniel Wellmeier and spouse Samantha Wellmeier of Houston, Carolynn Morlock and spouse James Morlock of Denton, Chelsea Padron and spouse Adam Padron of Denton, David Wellmeier of Denton, Grandchildren: Mason Groover, Mabel Wellmeier, Carter & Chandler Wilburn, Dawson & Steven Morlock, Joey Morris and Mia Padron. Also survived by his mother Barbara Slocum, brothers Billy and Brian Slocum. He was preceded in death by his father William C. Slocum.

Chris and Jeff were married on June 26, 2005, joining their two families into one. Jeff worked at Lennox International in Carrollton Texas for over 40 years! Jeff enjoyed cruising and relaxing in the backyard with family. Jeff loved his fishing and golfing trips with his "brothers" Pat Coleman, Gary Walters, Ronnie Blake and too many others to list - he loved you all.

The family will receive friends on Friday, July 16, 2021 from 10-11 AM at DeBerry Funeral Directors in Denton, Texas. Funeral services will follow in the Chapel at 11:00 AM. Interment will be held at Roselawn Memorial Park in Denton.
