Jeffrey Amort Lanier, 76, passed away on September 6, 2025, at Medical City Denton. He was born in Houston, Texas, to Dr. Jack Lanier and Valera Amort Lanier.

Jeffrey grew up in North Dallas. He attended school at Our Lady of Perpetual Help grade school and Jesuit High School before going on to Southern Methodist University, where he graduated in 1971 with his MBA. He spent his career working as a Civil Engineer for over 50 years building developments all over Texas.  Throughout his life, he enjoyed fishing, reading, traveling, and spending time with his beloved grandsons.

In 1983, Jeffrey met Chrisanne Melton, and they were married in 1988. Together, they shared many adventures, traveling from Lake Tawakoni to Bora Bora. They loved spending time with friends and enjoyed the occasional trip to the casino.

Jeffrey is survived by his wife, Chrisanne; daughter, Morgan Rocha, and her husband, Jaime Rocha; and three grandsons,  Maximiliano Jeffrey Rocha, Mateo Rocha, and Sebastian Rocha. He is also survived by his brother Richard Lanier and wife Janet; sister Camille Riddick and her husband Kirk; brother Stephen Lanier; sister Lisa Lanier; and many nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. at DeBerry Funeral Directors Chapel, followed by a service at 1:00 p.m.
