Jeffrey (Jeff) Thomas Raines passed away on August 25, 2026, at the age of 59. Born on July 10, 1967, Jeff lived a life centered on faith, family, work, and the everyday joys that become cherished memories.

At the heart of Jeff’s life was his family. He loved them deeply, and his wife and daughters were his pride and joy. His proudest accomplishments were not his own, but theirs, and he spoke of their achievements with unmistakable pride. Making memories with his family was a priority for Jeff. He loved exploring new places, trying new restaurants, playing games, and celebrating holidays and special occasions with his family. He was also a devoted Christian who was actively involved in the church, and his warm sense of humor brought laughter to family and friends alike.

Jeff graduated from Crystal City High School and went on to attend the University of Missouri, a connection that stayed with him throughout his life. He enjoyed watching Mizzou sports, especially football, and analyzing the highs and lows of the teams with his brother and other Mizzou fans.

His professional life reflected both dedication and steady purpose. Jeff loved helping people and worked in the nonprofit field for 10 years before transitioning to the corporate world. He spent the last 12 years at Charter/Spectrum, most recently as Senior Director of Business Planning for Billing. Even while facing ongoing health issues, he remained diligent in his work, deeply involved with his family, and optimistic about the future.

Jeff is survived by his wife, Pamela Raines, and by his daughters, Elizabeth Ables and her husband Richard, Abigail Benz, Alyson Martin and her husband Shae, Analise Benz, and Alayna Benz. He is also survived by his mother, Karen Raines; his brother, Skip Raines and his wife Stephanie; his sister, Andrea Griffith and her husband Gary; his niece, Emily Griffith; his nephews, Ethan Griffith and Ben Raines; as well as many friends and his beloved cats (Lucy, Luke, Alfie and Claire) who were part of the life and home he treasured.

He was preceded in death by his father, Radford “Ben” Raines.

Jeff will be remembered for the devotion he gave to those closest to him, for the faith that guided him, for the optimism he carried, and for the joy he found even during life's trials. His love remains woven through family gatherings, shared laughter, holiday traditions, and the many places explored together. Those who knew him will carry forward the memory of a man who worked hard, loved deeply, and made family the center of his world.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at Sts. Joachim & Ann Care Service, 4116 McClay Road, St. Peters, MO 63304. Visitation will begin at 10:00am and the memorial service will begin at 11:00am. Lunch will follow.
