Jennifer "Jennie" Suellen Perkins, 76 of Argyle, passed away with her daughter by her side on Thursday, August 6, 2020, after a long battle with Alzheimer's.
The funeral service will be held on Monday, August 10, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at the DeBerry Funeral Directors, with burial at Roselawn Memorial Park. Pallbearers include James Holland, Michael Holland, Charles Alexander, Wayne Alexander, Christopher Smith, and Robert Newton
Jennie was born in Carlsbad, New Mexico on January 23, 1944 to William and Nettie (Kitchens) Smith. She married Tony Pritchard May 5, 1962 in Dallas, TX, with whom she had three children. She remarried to James Michael "Mike" Perkins February 12, 1977 in Belton, TX. Jennie owned freight brokerage and trucking companies in Grapevine, Texas for many years.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her sons Wesley Pritchard and William Pritchard; her brother, David Smith; and her sisters, Mary Lois "Penny" Baisden, Rosetta Jennings, Annie Mae Smith and Edna Fay Smith; her dearly loved and devoted German Shepard Driver.
She is survived by her daughter, Kristina McKenzie and husband James of Argyle; granddaughters, Durrae Butler and husband Matthew of Denton, Lauren Lissberger and husband Christon of Waxahachie, and Naomi Autry of Denton. Great grandchildren, Kavan, Keaton, Annisten, Silas, Dean, and Damon; brothers, Winston Smith and wife Barbara of Crossroads, Andy Smith of Decatur, Sandy Rowland of McAlester, Oklahoma; many nieces and nephews.
Jennie was the life of the party, she loved making memories with her family and her friends that had become family. She loved road trips and finding new areas to explore. She will be dearly missed, but fondly remembered.
