Jerry Roy Lockridge, 71, of Bowie, passed away on Monday, December 30, 2013. He was born on January 10, 1942 in Sanger, TX to James Lockridge and Becky Pearl Harper Lockridge. He married Patty Anne Hamlett on April 29, 1966 in Denton and served in the Texas Army National Guard. He graduated from Denton Senior High School in 1960, was an officer in the Denton County Round Up Club, and a member of the Denton County Sheriff's Posse. He worked for HL Peterson Tractor Company formerly of Denton, then went to work for Patterson Drilling Company, then at Producers Co-Op in Bryan, Texas.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 3, 2014 from 6-8 pm at DeBerry Funeral Directors. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2014 at 2:00 pm at Roselawn Memorial Park.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Patty; children, John Lockridge and wife Charla, Mack Lockridge, Penny Bruce and husband William, Page Youngblood, Pam Lockridge, James Lockridge, Joe Lockridge, Philippa "Flip" Machalicek, Pandy Jackson, Prissy Gonzales, Patty Feaster and husband James, Piper Haywood and husband Lee, Pepper Lockridge, and Jeffrey Lockridge and wife Courtney; and 25 grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; and a grandson, Lee Haywood, Jr.
