October 31, 1927 – June 16, 2025
Jessalu was born in Maysville, Oklahoma on October 31, 1927 to Harry and Lillian Bryant. She attended Abilene Christian College in Abilene, TX. where she met Benjamin Lorck, Jr. They married on August 3rd, 1949. Throughout their marriage they were blessed with 5 children. Jessalu and Benjamin were married for 74 years.
Jessalu and Benjamin had a strong faith and love for Jesus Christ. Together, they began missionary work in Mexico, where they lived for 5 years, then returned to the United States to continue work in the ministry. Jessalu obtained her Bachelors and Masters in Education. She was a bilingual educator in El Paso and Odessa, TX. Upon retiring, they moved to Brady, TX., where they built their home and lived for 30 years. Due to her love for people and education, Jessalu became a member of the McCulloch County Literacy Organization and touched many more lives with her loving spirit while living in Brady, TX.
Jessalu and Benjamin moved to Denton, TX and attended the Denton Church of Christ. She loved her church family and friends. Jessalu's goal and prayer in life was to teach everyone about salvation in Christ Jesus.
Jessalu was preceded in death by her lifelong love and husband, Benjamin Lorck Jr., son, Charles B. Lorck, daughter-in-law, Linda Lorck.
Her life will be forever cherished in the lives of her children, Benjamin Lorck III, Liliana and Ruben Flores, Lisa and Dennis Finet, Teri and Bob Lund and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, June 26 from 5:00 - 7:00pm at DeBerry Funeral Directors.
Jessalu's funeral service will be held at 1:00pm on June 27, at Denton Church of Christ- 1510 Audra Lane, Denton 76209.
