Jesse Dale Ransom was born to Odell and Jessie Mae (Mayberry) Ransom on June 17th, 1963 in Denton, Texas. He passed from this life on April 20, 2024 in Denton, Texas. The funeral will be Saturday, May 4, 2024 at DeBerry Funeral Home in Denton at 1pm.

At three months old, he and his twin brother Eddie contracted spinal meningitis. At six months old, Eddie passed away and the virus left Jesse unable to walk and talk with very limited physical function. At this point our parents were told by doctors to just "put Jesse away because he would never see his 10th birthday." He was taken home where he was taken care of by our family. At 10 yrs old Jesse began to have medical issues that the family could no longer accommodate and he was placed at the Denton State School. He began to thrive at the facility where he lived for 50 years until God called him home on Saturday, April 20, 2024.


Jesse is preceded in death his parents Odell and Jessie, his twin brother Eddie, brothers Odell Jr., Joe Lee Mayberry, Sammy Lee Mayberry, Robert Darnell Ransom and a sister Maudie Mae Ransom.

Those left to cherish his precious memory is his sisters Lottie Mae Mayberry of Houston, Texas., Odessa Ransom of Ft. Worth, Texas, Juanita Ransom Bullard of Boyd, Texas and Lucy Ransom of Ft. Worth, Texas. Brother, Walter George Ransom of Boyd,Texas, a special niece/ sister Tracey Elizabeth Mayberry, God sister Ann Franklin, sisters-in-law Ann Ransom and Sandra Ransom, one special Aunt , Marjorie Mayberry, his Denton Assisted Living family and MANY nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins and friends!
