Jessie Lou Jackson, 89, of Denton, Texas, passed away peacefully on October 26, 2025, at her home in Denton. She was born on September 13, 1936, in Stecker, Oklahoma, to Elmer and Irene (Dyer) Elliott.

She married her husband, Clarence, on February 22, 1957, and together they shared 68 wonderful years of marriage filled with love, laughter, and devotion. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother whose greatest joy was her family. Jessie was an avid OU and Thunder fan and loved cheering on her teams. She will be remembered for her kindness, warmth, and the love she showed to everyone around her.
She is survived by her husband, Eugene "Clarence" Jackson of Denton, Texas; daughter, Debra Kirby and her husband, Milton, of Denton, Texas; son, Chris Jackson of Greenville, Texas; six grandchildren; and fifteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Don Elliott.

The family will receive friends for a viewing on Friday, October 31, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Smith Funeral Home in Anadarko, Oklahoma. A graveside service will follow at 1:00 p.m. at Memory Lane Cemetery in Anadarko, Oklahoma.
