Jimmy Reece Porterfield

Born December 7, 1947 to Freda Morgan and Garland Norman Porterfield in Shiloh Valley Township, Illinois. He died June 28, 2024 in Denton, TX.

Jim graduated high school in Henrietta, TX. and enlisted in the US Army where he served from 1967 to 1973. He then attended Parkland Hospital School of Radiology Technology and became a certified RT. He worked in acute medical care until his retirement in 2010.

He is survived by his wife Mechelle his daughters Susie Patterson and Jenny Porterfield, son-in0law Wes Patterson, grandchildren Shelby, Jake, and Emma Patterson. He had two sisters, Diana Porterfield and Linda Marshall. His brother Garland Porterfield preceded him in death

Jim was a member of the Denton Church of Christ.
