Jimmy Charles White, 69, of Denton passed away in Denton on January 2, 2020. He was born on July 13, 1950 in Pittsburg, Texas. Jimmy loved spending time with his guardians, friends, and caregivers at the Denton State Supported Living Center, where he lived for 55 years. Prior to moving to Denton, Jimmy lived at the Mexia State School and Austin State School. Jimmy had a passion for movies and music and he especially loved to take walks and spend time with the countless friends he came to know over the course of his tenure at the DSSLC. Jimmy was loved by all who met him, and he always had a contagious laugh and a bright smile. His infectious optimism was a gift to all of those who had the pleasure of knowing him.

He is survived by his guardians, Jennifer and Brandon Jenkins and their daughter, Amelia of Benbrook, Texas and a host of friends.

He is preceded in death by his mother Annie Joe White Edmonds and father Albert White.

Funeral Services will be held at Ivy Chapel at the Denton State Supportive Living Center, on Thursday, January 9, 2020 at 1:45 PM, and interment will follow at the Denton State Supportive Living Center Cemetery.
