Jo Gail Pittman, 66, of Denton, TX went to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 31th, 2018. Jo Gail was born on September 9, 1951 in Lindale, TX to Carl Bailey and Millie Jo Grider.
Jo Gail finally succumbed to 13 long years suffering the effects of FTD (Frontotemporal Dementia).
Jo Gail and Ray met in high school, Quitman TX. They continued their schooling at Tyler Junior College where they both part of the Apace Band. After TJC, they married and moved to Denton where Ray finished his education at University of North Texas (UNT), and Jo Gail started her career with Josten's as a key punch operator. She continued her data processing career with UNT. Then later Jo Gail worked at Moore Business Forms, Gold's Gym and finally with Moore Combined Credit Union in Denton. Jo Gail loved her family, her church and the Lord. She was very much part of the church choir and bell choir and loved serving in those capacities.
Jo Gail is survived by her husband of 45 years, Ray Pittman, sons Chris Pittman/wife Laura (children Emma and Cooper); Stacy Pittman/wife Claudia (daughter Angles), Mother Millie Jo Grider, Brother Ricky Bailey and step-sister Mae Pellezi. Jo Gail was preceded in death by her father Carl Bailey and step-father Lloyd Grider.
The family would like to thank: Ray of Sunshine, Autumn Leaves, Golden Meadows and New Century Hospice for their incredible care and loving support over the past eight years of taking care and loving JoGail.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, June 2, 2018 at First Denton of Denton, TX. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at same location. Interment will follow at 3:30 PM Roselawn Cemetery Mineola, TX.
Services will be handled by Bill DeBerry Funeral Directors, 2025 West University Denton, TX.
