Jo Lynn Sims, 67, of Lewisville, TX passed away on Monday, October 17, 2022. She was born in Memphis, TN on March 30, 1955, to Albert Doyle Lee and Dorothy Raynell Hilliard.

She graduated from Westside High School in Memphis, TN and attended The University of Memphis. She married David Sims on July 29, 2000, in Lewisville, TX. After retiring in 2005, she enjoyed visiting with her family including her nieces and nephews in Memphis, seeing her grandchildren, and "lunching" with her friends. Jo's Aunt Sunny nicknamed her "Sweetie" when she was a young girl and the name stayed with her throughout her life. Jo would defend the University of Memphis whenever she had the chance, especially when discussing sports with her son-in-law. She also enjoyed driving to the surrounding small towns in the DFW area and visiting the town squares and historical areas. Jo will be remembered for her love of her family, her love of her hometown Memphis TN, her love of her cats, and her wit and compassion.

She is survived by her husband David, daughter Michelle Feldick (Rob), daughter Marion Wilson (David), daughter Misti DeLasierra (Adolfo), and son Michael David Sims (Shannon), sister Sherrie Lee of Memphis, TN, sister Gwen Lee Elrod of Bartlett, TN, brother Gary Lee of Pope, MS, and eight grandchildren: Jessica and Alyssa DeLasierra, Rachel and Lauren Sims, Alex and Kelsie Wilson, and Mason and Madisen Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Dorothy Lee.

A memorial service will be held at DeBerry Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 26, 2022 starting at 2:00 PM.
