Obituary

JoAnn Studdert, 79, of Denton, Texas passed away in Plano, Texas on Saturday, May 14, 2022. She was born in Texarkana, Texas to Joe and Annabell Messick on November 9, 1942.

JoAnn met Ronald Studdert, her future husband, at Beaumont High School. The pair went on to marry in Beaumont, Texas on December 18, 1965. They later welcomed their daughters, Kimberly and Noel.

She relocated to Denton in 2016.

JoAnn received her Bachelor in Elementary Education from Lamar University, later going to what is now known as Texas A&M Commerce to attain her master's in administration. Prior to her retirement, she taught in the Carrollton - Farmers Branch ISD in Elementary Reading Recovery. Outside of her professional life, JoAnn enjoyed reading, sudoku, and spending time with her family.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Annabell Messick.

JoAnn is survived by her husband, Ronald Studdert of Denton, Texas, daughters, Kimberly Ring and husband, Douglas of Carrollton, Texas and Noel Hill and husband, Chris, also of Denton, grandchildren, Claire Ring, Ashley Ring and Curran Hill. She also leaves behind her sister, Vickie Messick of Denton, and brother-in-law, David Studdert and wife, Sheila of Nome, Texas.

There will be  a graveside service at Roselawn Memorial Park in Denton, Texas on Tuesday, May 17, 2022, beginning at 3:00pm with Pastor David Shivers officiating.
