Joanne Yert, 58 of Justin passed away on January 31, 2017.  She was born on October 21, 1958 to Edward and Barbara (Godbey) Yert in St. Louis, Mo.

Words can not do justice to the woman who didn't let anything hold her back in life.  She was a female business owner in a predominately male profession.  Joanne did all she could to provide and care for those around her.   Joanne was involved in cub and girl scouts, Justin Youth Association, and many other organizations in Justin during her life.   She had an unnatural knack with all things crafting.  She passed along her enjoyment to her grandchildren.  She loved her family without reservation.  She lived these last few years as she would have wanted, enjoying time with her grandchildren.

Her spirit and zest for life will live on in those who were blessed to have known her.

Our family would like to thank the family who selflessly gave their loved ones' heart in November of 2014.  Your donation allowed us irreplaceable time with our mother and grandmother.   We appreciate the care and dedication of all those who helped Joanne following her transplant, especially nurse Cathy.  Thank you

She is survived by her children Megan (Eric) Zollinger, Kevin (Sanantha) Yert, and Sarah (Hunter) Collins, in addition to 9 grandchildren, Emma, Trey, Amme, Ty Zollinger; Rickie, Lillie, Keith Yert; Kaleb, Hayden Collins.

She is preceded in death by her mother and father.

The family will receive friends at DeBerry Funeral Directors in Denton on Friday, February 3, 2017 from 9:30 to 10:30 with services to follow in the Chapel of DeBerry Funeral Directors. Interment will follow at Justin Cemetery in Justin, Texas.
