We invite you to celebrate with us the life of Joe Edward Anderson, born February 3, 1947 in Denton, TX to Ada Jo Milne Anderson and John Edward Anderson.

Joe had dealt with a brief illness prior to entering the gate of heaven Wednesday, February 18, 2015, surrounded by his loved ones.

Joe attended Denton Public Schools. He was owner of A & A Paint and Body Shop for the past 40 years. Many of Joe's customers became his good friends. Joe was loved and trusted as a good and fair man. He served in Viet Nam while in the US Army from 1966 to 1968. During the past few months Joe came to know Jesus as Lord and Savior while visiting with one of his friends. We can rest assured he is in the presence of God.

Joe is survived by the "light of his life", his only child, Wendy Gale Anderson, his loving partner and friend, Judy Anderson. A very special blessing to him were his 3 grandchildren, Bryan Beale and wife Lisa, Joseph and Jessica Lombard. Joe had added to the family recently a great grandchild, Gabby. Joe has one brother, Jim Anderson and wife Patty of Aubrey, one sister, Johniece Wicker and husband Alvis of Garland, his childhood friend who became his brother-in-law, Dalwin Wallace of Krum. He leaves nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews who will cherish their memories of him. He also leaves behind many cousins and a host of friends who loved him dearly. Joe was preceded in death by his parents, his sisters, Betty Ann Anderson Wallace and Sherry Lynn Anderson.

Visitation will be Sunday, February 22, 2015 from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at DeBerry Funeral Directors. Funeral service will be Monday, February 23, 2015 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of DeBerry Funeral Directors with Bro. Sam Redfearn officiating.

The family wished to thank the staff of Presbyterian Hospital of Denton and the people of Hospice.
