Joe Ann (Lovett) Andrews, 83, passed away peacefully on September 24, 2020 after a brief illness.  She was born on November 15, 1936 in Claremore, Oklahoma to Clinton L. (Ooly) and Faye Lovett and was  joined in marriage to Weldon L. Andrews on January 6, 1957.  Weldon preceded her in death in 2003.

Joe Ann was employed with Denton County for many years, primarily working in the Indigent Health Department.  The work suited her caring soul.

She loved her family, cooking, reading and teaching a Women's Bible Study group at her church.   Over the last 18 years of her life, Joe Ann joined a travel group, and developed a real love for world travel.  Over these years, she visited many US destinations, several European countries, Canada, and Iceland.

Joe Ann was preceded in death by her husband and true love, Weldon, and by her parents.  She is survived by a sister, Jackie Burris of Muskogee, Oklahoma; four daughters and sons-in-law:  Patsy and David Upton of Muskogee, Oklahoma, Lorrie and Steve Craig of Decatur, Texas, Bobbie and Jeff Presley of Fort Worth, Texas and Rosemary and Scott Cox of Denton, Texas; 5 grandchildren: Jason Upton, Zachary Upton, Jessica Craig, Rylan Cox and Lindsay Cox;  7 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers:  David Upton, Steve Craig, Jeff Presley, Scott Cox, Jason Upton, Zachary Upton, Rylan Cox, Kace Upton, Daxon Upton, Triston Bartlett, and Grayson Upton.

A celebration of Joe Ann's life will be held on Tuesday, September 29 ^th at 11:00 a.m. at Gracepointe Church, 3000 E. McKinney Street, Denton, Texas with Pastor Jeff Neal officiating.  Burial will follow with a graveside service at the United States National Cemetery, 1423 Cemetery Road, Fort Gibson, Oklahoma on Wednesday, September 30 ^th at noon.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Joe Ann's name to the American Cancer Society or Gracepointe Church Denton.
