Joe Arispe passed away peacefully on March 30, 2018 at his home in Sherman, Texas. Joe was 87 years old.

Joe was born and raised in Winters, Texas. He was the son of the late Cruz Arispe and Crus DeLeon. Joe married Nellie Cortez and they raised five children.

At a young age Joe aspired for productive and successful life. He left the working fields and walked to town to find a better way to make a living. The first place of business that hired him was an Auto Body Shop. There is where Joe learned a trade that would carry him throughout his life.

In the 1960's Joe moved his family to Denton, Texas where he was offered a job to work for Brown and Brown Body Shop. Eventually he ventured out and built his own Body Shop named Joda Body Work.He was a successful business man. Joe was involved in his community as a member of the Lions Club, Elks Lodge and Knight of Columbus.

In his spare time Joe loved to play pool, along with his buddy Bill DeBerry. He was known around town as pool a shark. Joe loved life and he lived it to the fullest. He made many lifetime friends and great memories.

Our daddy was a great man. We have wonderful memories of a caring and loving father that we will cherish always.

Joe is preceded in death by his parents, his son, Jose Arispe and son, Danny Arispe.

Joe is survived by his three daughters, Mali Gracy, Sarah Jones, Carmen Whitaker, ten grandchildren, Joe Arispe, Alan Altom, Tyler Whitaker, Vanessa Pyatt, Adriana Moore, Staphaine Payne, Natalie Arispe, Austin Jones, Brooxie Rafie, James and Beau Childs, eight great grandchildren, three sisters, Susie Castillio, Mary Ellen Martinez and Delphine Cortez.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 20, 2018 at 6:30 P.M. at DeBerry Funeral Directors in Denton, Texas.
