Joe B. Evans Jr, of Denton, Texas, formerly of Forestburg, Texas, passed away Monday August 17, 2015, of heart disease complications. He was born March 16, 1961, in Denton, TX, to Joe B Evans, Sr. and Imogene (Dalton) Evans. He graduated from Forestburg High School in 1980. He was interested in horses and a lover of old Western movies. He was of the Methodist faith.

Joe is survived by: his mother, Imogene Evans of Denton; daughter Lydia Evans of Bowie; son Joe B. Evans III ('Trey') of Bowie; granddaughter, Emarie Evans, and sister, Sharon Griffith of Denton and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation will be at DeBerry Funeral Home Chapel, 2025 W. University Drive, Denton, TX, on Friday, August 21, 2015 from 5pm to 7 pm. Services will be Saturday August 22, 2015 at 10:00 am in the Chapel of DeBerry Funeral Home on University, with interment following at Roselawn Cemetery on Roselawn Drive, in Denton.

Pallbearers are Mike Shrum, Tom Rainey, Dickie Howard, Pat Ennis, Scott Griffith and Chad Griffith. Honorary pallbearers are James Pierot, Randall Flusche, Kory Weger, Kenneth Weger and Dugan Rainey. Virgil Aldag, C.L.M, will officiate.
