Joe Keith Waldrep, 79, of Denton, passed away May 12, 2024 at Legend Healthcare and Rehabilitation. Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 17, 2024 at 6:00 pm in the chapel at DeBerry Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm until 6:00 pm on Friday May 17, 2024 at DeBerry Funeral Home.

He was born March 3, 1945 in Tahoka, Texas, to Jewell (Lang) and John J. Waldrep. He grew up in Bridgeport, Texas, where he attended school. On August 16, 1963, he was married to Betty Louise Deatherage. He was one of the first master plumbers in the state of Texas and operated a successful commercial and residential plumbing company. He was an avid reader, builder of all the things and was loved deeply by his family and all who knew him.

Survivors include his wife of 61 years, daughter and son-in-law, Rhonda and Daryl Albritton of Beebe, Arkansas; daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Lee Stelzer of Greenville, Texas; daughter and son-in-law, Wendy and Miguel Ortega of Dallas, Texas and daughter, Angela Barfield of Denton, Texas; sister, Joanna Preston of Dallas, Texas and sister, Glenda Wheeler of Lake Dallas, Texas; 13 grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother and daddy, John J and Jewell Waldrep, a sister, Barbara Ann Britt, one grandson and one great grandson.
