Joel Moon, 62, of Aubrey passed away on Sunday, May 18th, 2025 at home. He was born in Denton on May 5, 1963 to Richard and Shirley Ellenburg Moon. He attended Denton Public Schools.

Joel was a welder and pipe fitter, and was a member of the Local 100 welders union out of Dallas.

He worked for Kevin Routh Welding Service for the past 22 years, where he made many lifelong friends.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing and loved being in the mountains. He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was a very proud Papaw.

Visitation will be Friday, May 23, 2025 from 6:00-8:00 pm in the Chapel of DeBerry Funeral Directors.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 24, 2025 at 10:00 am in the Chapel of DeBerry Funeral Directors with burial to follow at the Eakins Cemetery.

Joel is survived by his mother Shirley Moon of Aubrey, daughter Monica Marshall and husband Colby of Krum, son Clint Moon and wife ​Amanda of Ringgold, son Kenley Moon of North Richland Hills - brother, Nick and wife Michele Moon, grandchildren, Haylee, Brylee, Easton, Charley, Andy & Maci.

He was preceded in death by his brother Andy Moon and father Richard Moon.

Pallbearers will be; Derral Weger, Dwaine Petty, Ryan Dick, Trevor Humphreys, Kevin Routh, Greg Richardson.
