John Thomas Dush, Jr., passed away on Friday, April 14, 2017, in Denton, Texas. He was born on March 4, 1929, to John and Hazel (Rodgers) Dush Sr. in Ft. Worth, Texas.
John and Marie were married for 69 years, and together they raised two girls, Linda and Vikki. He was employed by Neuhoff Brothers Packing Company in Dallas as a Quality Control Supervisor, and later as a machine technician for Dennison/Avery Corporation until he retired in 1992. He happily spent his retirement years repairing and selling lawn equipment and working in his vegetable garden. He loved everyone and was loved by all who knew him for his caring and giving heart.
He is survived by his wife, Marie Dush of Denton, daughter, Linda Mills and husband Tom of Corinth, grandchildren; Linda Griffith and Randall Sims, great-grandchildren Lidda and Max Griffith, and Kye and Eric Sims.
He is preceded in death by his mother and father, daughter Vikki Franklin, and sister Betty Gilbreath.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 from 10:30 – 11:00 A.M. at the Denton Good Samaritan Chapel, 2500 Hinkle Drive in Denton. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 at the Chapel. Interment will be at Bluebonnet Hills Cemetery in Colleyville, Texas.
