John Domingo Guajardo passed away at his home in Denton, Texas on Wednesday, December 8, 2021. He was born in Santo, Texas to Domingo Guajardo and Maria Rodriguez on March 8, 1936. He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Elisa Guajardo, Jesse Guajardo, Mary Radford, and Joe Guajardo.

John served 22 years in the United States Army, 49 ^th Armored division and National Guard. John was also assigned to the Nike Missile Base in Denton TX for 5 years. After retiring from the military, he worked for 25 years with the United States Postal Service.

John enjoyed spending time with his wife Hope, traveling with his adult children, occasionally golfing with family and friends, and working in his yard.

Visitation will be from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Thursday, December 16, 2021, at DeBerry Funeral Home with a Rosary at 6:00 PM. Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 17, 2021, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Denton TX, starting at 11 AM with interment to follow at Memory Gardens Memorial Park in Weatherford, Texas.

John is survived by his wife of 67 years Hope Guajardo, sons Johnny (wife Sandra) Guajardo and Greg (wife Anna) Guajardo, daughters Patti (husband Fred) Zerbe and Melissa (husband Tim) Button, grandchildren; Laura (husband JP) Kilkenny, John Ryan (wife Casey) Guajardo, Jacob (wife Rachel) Guajardo, Nick Zerbe, Alex Zerbe, Jack Button, Jonah Button, Sophia Button, Rachel Hibdon and Adam Hibdon. Great grandchildren; Elizabeth Kilkenny, Katherine Kilkenny, Brooklyn Guajardo, Abigail Guajardo, Olivia Guajardo, Charlotte Guajardo, Hattie Guajardo. Greg & Anna's family; Andrew Dugger, Timothy Dugger, Sydney Jones, and Shelby Odornez-Jones.
