John W. Ledbetter was born on December 5, 1940 in Dallas to Buren and Pearl Ledbetter of Carrollton, Texas and passed away on his farm on March 16, 2016 in Bolivar, Texas. He was 75.

John is survived by his wife of 55 years, Margie Ledbetter. Survivors include his children Kamey and Steve McEwan of Sanger, Janie and Mike Sons of Sanger, and Sarah Ledbetter of Highland Village; grandchildren Wesley and Brittney Sanders of Sanger, Grayson and Jenny Sanders of Van Alstyne, Danielle Sons of Sanger, and Jessica and Stephen Wilson of Sanger; sister Joyce and Lloyd Webb of Sanger; and in-laws Len and Elaine Sanders of Sanger, Nina and Wayne Campbell of Woodward, Oklahoma, and Jake Dusak, Jr. of Haskell, Texas; numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Travis Wieglenda.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 19 at Bolivar Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. Lloyd Webb will be officiating. Pallbearers include Steve McEwan, Grayson Sanders, Len Sanders, Wesley Sanders, Mike Sons, and Stephen Wilson. DeBerry Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
