John Bennett Mansell, 80, of Sanger, TX passed away Thursday, September 12, 2019, at The Vintage Health Care Center in Denton, TX. He was born in McLeansboro, IL to Burris and Daisy (Bennett) Mansell on January 12, 1939. He graduated from McLeansboro High school and served as Airman 1st Class in the U.S. Air Force from 1958-1962. Preceded in death by his first wife of 40 years, Velda (Alexander) Mansell. He married Linda Helms on August 12, 2012 in Hot Springs, AR. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and served as a deacon at the South Side Baptist Church and Hickory Creek Baptist Church. Employed by Locke Supply for over 30 years. Retired in 2005 as General Manager.

There will be a graveside service at Prairie Hill Cemetery in Duke, Oklahoma, Saturday, October 12, 2019 at 11 am.

He is survived by his wife, three sons, one daughter, sister Sue James, half brother Freddy Sloan, 15 grandkids, 14 great grandkids, numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
