John Horace Shahan 96 of Richardson, formerly of Lake Dallas, passed away in Plano on Wednesday, September 6, 2017.  He was born May 14, 1921 in Denton to Edgar and Timmy D. Bounds Shahan.  He married Peggy Louise Shahan in Denton on January 2, 1942.  She preceded him in death.

He served in the US Army Air Force during Would War II.  He was a member of the Church of Christ.  Before retirement he was a Painter and Wallpaper Hanger for Shahan & Sons.

The family will be at DeBerry Funeral Directors Sunday, September 10, 2017 from 2-4:00 p.m. for visitation.  Graveside Services will be on Monday at 11:00 a.m. at the Swisher Cemetery in Lake Dallas.

John is survived by his son David Shahan of Richardson and daughter in law Janette Shahan, four grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren.
