Proud born and bred Texan John Robert Speer, 71, of Argyle, Texas is blessed to have been welcomed in to Jesus' home on Sunday, July 22, 2018. John was born at Seton Hospital in Austin, Texas on July 18, 1947 to Robert Lee and Corrie (Galloway) Speer. He was followed 4 years later by his brother David (Scotty) Speer.

John ( Jack, Johnny and sometimes just Speer) is survived by his wife Heidi of a fantastic 33 year ride, his magnificent son Michael Speer, his sweet daughter-in-law Amanda, and his newest blessing, grandson Heath Robert Speer of Argyle, Texas and his "TMG" (That's My Girl) gracious, kind and generous daughter Jennifer of Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Also survived by life long friends David (Mickey) and Mary Nan Castro and family, Robert (Rock) Renick and Craig Martin.

Jack never met a stranger, always was a true friend and is now having the time of his life arguing with his brother about Texas football.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at Roselawn Memorial Park in Denton, Texas with Pastor Bobby Cates of 1 ^st Baptist Argyle officiating and honoring this good, blessed, honorable man with his deep faith in our Lord and Savior. May God bless and keep him .
