John Vance Windham III., 65, passed away on May 2, 2019 in Denton. He was born on March 20, 1954 in Jackson, Mississippi to John and Ruth Hurst Windham II.

He graduated from Mississippi State University and followed his bulldogs through every coach since then. He spent ten years working in the corporate office of Kellwood Industries in New York and traveled internationally. John loved playing golf with his family and friends and hated ending up in the rough. He was a loving father and husband who always did everything that he could for his family. He lived for his family and wanted their happiness above all else.

John is survived by his wife, Denise of Denton, daughter, Jennifer Windham of Dallas and son, John "Beau" Windham of Manhattan, Kansas.

He is preceded in death by his mother and father.

A celebration of John's life will be held at 3:00 P.M. on June 1, 2019 at First Presbyterian Church, 801 Leavenworth St., Manhattan, Kansas.  A gathering for friends, immediately following service will be at Darrell and Carmen Phillips home.
