Johnathan Matthew Leiva was born September 15, 2011 in Denton TX to Clarissa Diaz and Alvaro Leiva. John fell ill in 2013 and was our little Warrior since then. Johnathan was blessed to have his mommy and two daddy's and The best grandparents!Johnathan loved being around family especially his brothers and cousins! John loved eating anything purée & his favorite snacks were cotton candy and yogurt melts especially during therapy. He was such a charmer and captured a lot of people's hearts from here to Mexico Weather they met him in person or followed his journey through social media. He was truly a blessing since the day his was born. Johnathan was the strongest fighter and his courages spirit will forever live on.

John was survived by his mother Clarissa Diaz and his fathers Alvaro Enrique Leiva (Amber Williams) and Ricardo Ibarra.
Two little brothers Jaylen Leiva and Ricky Jasiah Ibarra.
Second parents "tata" Jaime Diaz and "tita" Graciela Diaz. Other grandparents, uncles, aunts, cousins, close relatives, friends, teachers, therapist and doctors. He was loved by all and more.

"No amount of gold could ever compare to the gift of love that my son shared. I've been blind and I couldn't see that all the love I've wanted was right here in front of me. He gave me reason to get through another day. Maybe it's how he loved me in his own special little way and when it gets hard for me to sleep at night, he wrapped his little arms around me and I knew God will make things right! From sweet gentle touches to his bear hugs and kisses. He made this hell on earth seem more like a peaceful bliss. That great big kool-aid smile and the twinkle in his eyes every time I looked at him it made me want to cry. But they weren't tears of sorrow; they were tears of pride and joy to know that all the love in heaven was wrapped around my little boy."

John se enfermó en 2013 y fue nuestro pequeño guerrero desde entonces. ¡Johnathan tuvo la suerte de tener a su mamá y dos papás y los mejores abuelos! ¡A Johnathan le encantaba estar con la familia, especialmente con sus hermanos y primos! A John le encantaba comer cualquier cosa en puré y sus bocadillos favoritos eran el algodón de azúcar y el yogur derretido, especialmente durante la terapia. Era tan encantador y capturó el corazón de muchas personas desde aquí hasta el clima de México, lo conocieron en persona o siguieron su viaje a través de las redes sociales. Fue realmente una bendición desde el día en que nació. Johnathan fue el luchador más fuerte y su espíritu de valentía vivirá para siempre.

Ninguna cantidad de oro podría compararse con el regalo de amor que compartió mi hijo. He estado ciego y no podía ver que todo el amor que quería estaba aquí, frente a mí. Me dio una razón para pasar otro día. Tal vez es por cómo me amaba a su manera especial y cuando se me hacía difícil dormir por la noche, me envolvió con sus bracitos y supe que Dios arreglaría las cosas. Desde dulces caricias hasta sus besos y abrazos de oso. Hizo que este infierno en la tierra pareciera más una bendición pacífica. Esa gran sonrisa de kool-aid y el brillo en sus ojos cada vez que lo miraba me daban ganas de llorar. Pero no eran lágrimas de dolor; fueron lágrimas de orgullo y alegría al saber que todo el amor del cielo estaba envuelto alrededor de mi pequeño ".
