Johnny Ray Salas Sr. passed away in Denton, Texas on Monday, September 6, 2021. He was born in Denton to Raymond and Sofia Salas on October 7, 1960. Johnny enjoyed spending time with family, friends, singing, cooking and dancing. Johnny always liked to be the life of the party.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Raymond Salas, Sr. and Sofia Salas; and brother, Raymond Salas, Jr.

Visitation will be held at DeBerry Funeral Directors on Saturday, September 11, 2021 from 10AM to 12PM with a rosary to be said at 11AM. Funeral services will begin at 12PM with interment following at Roselawn Memorial Park in Denton.

Johnny is survived by his children, Jessie Salas, Johnny Salas, Jr., Jessica Grier, Monica Pennington and Antoinette Wright; 13 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; his siblings Dolores Salas, Dorothy Ozuna, Daniel Salas, Diana Wilkerson, Gilbert Salas, Charles Salas, JoAnn Salas, Rebecca Nolan & Suzie Luna; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
