Jorge Everardo Coronado Vasco, residente de Krum, Tx, falleció el lunes 16 de junio de 2025, a los 82 años de edad, rodeado del amor de su familia. Nació en Guayaquil, Ecuador el 21 de enero de 1943, siendo sus padres Arcadio Coronado Hidalgo y Clara Vasco Tamayo.

El 17 de abril de 1964, Jorge contrajo matrimonio con su amada esposa, Dora Consuelo Vallejo Gavilanes. Juntos formaron una familia unida, basada en el amor, la fe y el trabajo. Fue miembro de la Iglesia de Jesucristo de los Santos de los Últimos Días donde sirvió en muchos llamamientos entre ellos el de Obispo del Barrio Boyacá en 1980, y Obispo del Barrio Durán en 1987. Durante su tiempo como Obispo, Jorge organizó viajes al Templo de Lima, Perú haciendo posible que muchos miembros de la iglesia recibieran las bendiciones del Templo. El 1 de noviembre de 1988, Jorge y Dora fueron sellados junto a sus hijos por las eternidades en el Santo Templo de Lima, Perú.

Durante su ministerio, ayudó a muchas personas a acercarse al Salvador, a hacer convenios sagrados mediante el bautismo, y a prepararse para recibir las bendiciones del templo. Su servicio fue un reflejo de su profunda fe, compasión y dedicación al Señor.

Jorge emigró a los Estados Unidos en la década de 1990, estableciéndose junto a su familia en Texas. Allí continuó su legado de trabajo, servicio y testimonio. Fue un esposo amoroso, un padre ejemplar, un abuelo cariñoso y un discípulo fiel de Jesucristo.

Le precedieron en fallecer sus padres y su esposa, Dora Consuelo Vallejo Gavilanes, su hermano Arcadio Coronado, y su hermana Blanca Coronado. Le sobreviven sus cuatro hijos: Clara Coronado, y Miriam Woods de Krum, Gonzalo Coronado y Xavier Coronado de Denton, sus hermanas Gloria Zurita y Celeste Coronado, 14 nietos, y 13 bisnietos.

Una velorio se llevará a cabo en DeBerry Funeral Directors en W. University Drive en Denton, el jueves 19 de junio de 2025, de 5:00 p.m. a 7:00 p.m. El servicio fúnebre se celebrará el viernes 20 de junio de 2025, a las 10:00 a.m. en la capilla de La Iglesia de Jesucristo de los Santos de los Últimos Días en Old North Road en Denton. Jorge será sepultado en Roselawn Memorial Park inmediatamente después del servicio.

Jorge Everardo Coronado Vasco, resident of Krum, Texas, passed away on Monday, June 16, 2025, at the age of 82, surrounded by the love of his family. He was born in Guayaquil, Ecuador on January 21, 1943, to Arcadio Coronado Hidalgo and Clara Vasco Tamayo.

On April 17, 1964, Jorge married his beloved wife, Dora Consuelo Vallejo Gavilanes. Together they built a united family rooted in love, faith, and hard work. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where he served in many callings, including as bishop of the Boyacá Ward in 1980 and bishop of the Durán Ward in 1987. During his time as bishop, Jorge organized trips to the Lima Peru Temple, making it possible for many church members to receive the blessings of the temple. On November 1, 1988, Jorge and Dora were sealed together with their children for eternity in the Lima Peru Temple.

During his ministry, he helped many draw closer to the Savior, make sacred covenants through baptism, and prepare to receive the blessings of the temple. His service was a reflection of his deep faith, compassion, and dedication to the Lord.

Jorge immigrated to the United States in the 1990s, settling with his family in Texas. There he continued his legacy of work, service, and testimony. He was a loving husband, an exemplary father, a caring grandfather, and a faithful disciple of Jesus Christ.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Dora Consuelo Vallejo Gavilanes, his brother Arcadio Coronado, and his sister Blanca Coronado. He is survived by his four children: Clara Coronado and Miriam Woods of Krum, Gonzalo Coronado and Xavier Coronado of Denton; his sisters Gloria Zurita and Celeste Coronado; 14 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

A viewing and visitation will be held at DeBerry Funeral Directors on W. University Drive in Denton from 5:00PM to 7:00PM on Thursday, June 19, 2025. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00AM, Friday, June 20, 2025, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on Old North Road in Denton. Jorge will be laid to rest following the service at Roselawn Memorial Park.
