Obituary

Joseph Alan Stachowiak, 43, of Justin, Texas, passed away on May 28, 2016.

He was born on June 21, 1972, in San Antonio, Texas. He attended St. Pius X Catholic School in Dallas, Texas, and graduated from North Mesquite High School in Mesquite, Texas in 1990. He also attended Richland College in Dallas.

Joseph, who was a talented soccer player in his youth, loved sports. He also had a passion for music and was an accomplished guitar player. He enjoyed cheering on his favorite teams, especially the Dallas Cowboys, as well as attending live concerts with his family and numerous friends.

A single father, Joseph kept his family together and enjoyed cooking adventurous recipes in the kitchen for them. He especially loved anything with chili peppers; the hotter the better. He recently became interested in organic gardening. Joseph loved being part of a large family and he looked forward to having everyone gather for birthdays, holidays and celebrations. He will be remembered as a loving dad, son, and brother, and a loyal friend.

Joseph was a tireless worker who loved helping those in need. A great people person with a generous heart, he was the owner/operator of Avail Roofing and General Contracting. He always went out of his way to make sure his customers received quality service. He was truly a kindhearted man.

Joseph is survived by his children, Brianna and Zachary Stachowiak of Justin, Texas, and Jeremy Stachowiak of Plano, Texas; his parents Roman and Alice Stachowiak of Krum, Texas; his sister Chalese Connors and her husband Alexander of Aubrey, Texas; sister Karen Bernsen and her husband Jeff of West, Texas; brother Andrew Stachowiak and his wife Diana of The Woodlands, Texas; sister Lianne Jones and her husband Dan of Westerville, Ohio; eight nieces and nephews; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, William and Veronica Stachowiak, and John and Alice Daly Sr.; and his uncles, Henry Daly and Peter Daly, and his aunt Charlotte Daly.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, June 25, 2016 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 2255 North Bonnie Brae, in Denton, Texas, at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow the Mass at the Church. A celebration of Joseph's life will then be held in the school building adjacent to the Church.
