Joyce Ruth Felts. 88, of Denton, passed away on April 6, 2016 in Denton, Texas. She was born on September 4, 1927 in Orange, Texas to Neri Sonnier and Winnie Ashley. She married Alton W. Felts on March 22, 1947.

Joyce enjoyed being a homemaker, wife and mother.

She is survived by her daughter Elaine Ruth Bowlin and husband Terrel Jr. of Valley View and son Larry Alton Felts and wife Eva of Hobbs, N.M, three grandchildren, Dustin Bowlin, Ryan Bowlin and wife Kristin and Brea Felts, one great granddaughter, Finlee Harper Bowlin.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband and five brothers Ashton Sonnier, Raymond Sonnier, L.J. Sonnier, Bobby Sonnier and Neri Sonnier.

Visitation will be Sunday April 10, 2016, 3 to 5 P.M. at DeBerry Funeral Directors. A Memorial service will be Monday April 11, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. at Lake Forrest Denton Good Samaritan on Montecito Dr. in Denton, Texas. Burial will be Paint Creek Cemetery in Edith, Texas at a later date.
