Joyce Elaine Price (Gram), 88, of Denton passed away on March 28, 2024, in Denton. She was born in Navo, Texas on January 8, 1936, to Foster C. and Ethel (Ray) Arie.

In 1953 Gram married her soulmate Billy Price and started a family here in Denton where she remained her entire life.  Gram was a homemaker for many years and raised her children before following her dream of becoming a hairdresser.  After graduating from Jessies School of Beauty she worked at the Village Hair Salon & Maggie's.  She then moved on to Fairhaven Retirement Home as the stylist.  She cherished her time with family & friends and always enjoyed big family get-togethers.  Anytime you needed a shoulder to cry on or a word of wisdom Gram was always just a phone call away.  She made all of life's big problems seem so small, If we could all see ourselves through Grams eyes the world would be a much better place.  Gram is a breast cancer survivor and after losing her only son to the cancer monster she kept her head held high and never lost her faith.  Because of her bright smile, kind soul, and loving personality, we will all get through this difficult time.

We would like to thank the 4th-floor nurses at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Denton: Dr. Kim, Dr. Deepa, Ally, Sally, Eloise, Shelby S., Rachel. We would also like to thank Cottonwood Nursing Home for the loving care they provided Gram.

Gram is survived by her daughters, Mandy Morris and her husband, Randall of Denton, and Becky Hansel of Nebraska, grandchildren, Michael Price, Chandra Hernandez, Tracy Price, Tracy Lee, Kay McKnight, Lori Harbert, Russell Harbert, and Laci Peacock, and numerous great-grandchildren, Sister-in-law, Vicki Blackburn.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy E. Price her son Mike Price, and her mother and father.

A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, April 2, 2024 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of DeBerry Funeral Directors, in Denton, Texas.
