Juan Mireles, 61, passed away on Monday, June 19, 2023. He was born in San Luis Potosi, SLP, Mexico on February 8, 1962, to Juan Mireles, Sr. and Hermelinda Torres de Mireles.

Juan enjoyed the calm and simple ranch life in Sierra de Álvarez, SLP from horseback riding to milking cows and celebrating La Santa Cruz Feast Day.  Crispy Carne Asada nights were his favorite meals! He never missed an opportunity to get behind the grill while he jammed to Rancheras and Norteñas. To wind down at the end of the day, he would walk the family's Maltese dogs around the neighborhood. Gardening always brought him peace, from picking new flowers to watering them and making sure they had plenty of TLC to help them grow. If you were ever in his presence, he made you feel welcomed and part of the family. He could talk to you for hours and hours on end and had a unique way of storytelling that kept everyone engaged, from scary anecdotes to jokes. He would always end the conversations saying, "Quien los quiere como yo" his one-of-a-kind way of reminding everyone that they had a friend in him.

His strong faith was witnessed by many as he was an active member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Parish. Serving brought much joy to him, and he never considered any task too small for the Lord's work. He volunteered many years in Elementary Religious Formation, helping pass down the faith and preparing children for their First Communion. He was a part of the Escuela de Evangelización San Andres, where he delved into the faith as well as Evangelized others, helping them have a greater relationship with God. During the Sunday Liturgy, he was always willing to serve as a Lector and Eucharistic Minister of Holy Communion. He was always ready to lend a helping hand, from building the stage for parish festivals to selling snacks after Mass on Sunday. You always saw him with a big smile on his face when he had the opportunity to participate in any event at the Parish.

He is survived by his wife Paty Mireles; daughters Joana Mireles and Isabel Mireles; son Marco Mireles; and his siblings; Gloria Mireles de Anguiano, Maria Elena Mireles Torres, Jose Guadalupe Mireles Torres, y Jesus Mireles Torres. He was preceded in death by his parents Juan Mireles, Sr. and Hermelinda Torres de Mireles.
A visitation will be held on Friday, June 23, 2023 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, with Rosary at 7:30pm. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 24, 2023 also at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church starting at 10:30 AM. Funeral meal to proceed Mass at Immaculate Conception School Gymnasium.
The family has requested that remembrances be made in the form of contributions to the National Kidney Foundation, 30 East 33rd Street, New York, NY 10016, or www.kidney.org in Juan Mireles' name.

Juan Mireles, de 61 años, falleció el lunes, 19 de junio del 2023. Nació en San Luis Potosí, SLP, México el 8 de febrero de 1962, sus padres Juan Mireles e Hermelinda Torres de Mireles.

Juan disfrutaba del la vida tranquila y sencilla de la Sierra de Álvarez, SLP desde montar a caballo, ordeñar vacas y celebrando a la Santa Cruz. Le encantaba la carne asada y buscaba cualquier oportunidad para asar y escuchar música Ranchera y Norteñas. Para relajarse al final del día le gustaba llevar a caminar a todos los perritos Maltes que tenían. Le gustaba la jardinería, desde comprar las plantas, regarlas y asegurarse de darles los cuidados necesarios para que florecieran. Cuando las personas estaban en su presencia, siempre los hacía sentir acogidos y parte de la familia. Él podía hablar por horas y tenia un carisma para contar historias, desde anécdotas de terror hasta chistes. Siempre terminaba sus conversaciones diciendo, "Quien los quiere como yo", su manera única de hablar hacia que todos sintieran que tenían un amigo en él.

Su gran fe fue testimonio para muchos, él fue miembro activo de la Parroquia Inmaculada Concepción. El servir le dio mucha alegría y nunca considero cualquier actividad muy pequeña para el servicio del Señor. El fue voluntario por muchos años de Formación Primaria, ayudando a compartir la fe y prepara a los niños para su Primera Comunión. Él fue miembro de la Escuela de Evangelización San Andrés, donde creció en su fe y ayudo a evangelizar a los demás, ayudándolos a crecer en su relación con Dios. Durante la Liturgia dominical siempre estaba dispuesto a servir como Proclamador de la Palabra y Ministro de Eucaristía de la Sagrada Comunión. Siempre estaba dispuesto ayudar, desde construir la tarima para los festivales de la parroquia o vendiendo botanas después de misa los domingos. Siempre lo veían con una sonrisa grande cada vez que tenía la oportunidad de participar en cualquier evento parroquial.

Le sobreviven su esposa, Paty Mireles, hijas Joana Mireles e Isabel Mireles; su hijo Marco Mireles y sus hermanos; Gloria Mireles de Anguiano, María Elena Mireles Torres, José Guadalupe Mireles Torres y Jesús Mireles Torres. Fue procedido a la muerte por sus padres Juan Mireles y Hermelinda Torres de Mireles.

La visitación será el viernes, 23 de junio del 2023 en la Iglesia de Inmaculada Concepción de 7:00pm-9:00pm y el Rosario a las 7:30pm. Misa fúnebre de cuerpo presente será el sábado, 24 de junio a las 10:30am también en la Iglesia de Inmaculada Concepción. Después de la Misa fúnebre habrá una recepción en el gimnasio de la Escuela de Inmaculada Concepción.

La familia ha pedido que se hagan conmemoración en forma de donaciones al National Kidney Foundation, 30 East 33rd Street, New York, NY 10016 o www.kidney.org en nombre de Juan Mireles.
