Juan Francisco Ortega Hernandez “Paco”
March 21, 1977 – October 1, 2026
Juan Francisco Ortega Hernandez, 49, of Denton, TX, passed away peacefully on October 1, 2026. He was born on March 21, 1977, in Múzquiz, Coahuila, Mexico, to Estela Hernandez and Francisco Ortega.
Paco was a hardworking man who dedicated many years of his life working in concrete construction. He took pride in his work and in providing for the people he loved.
Those who knew Paco will remember him for his loving energy, contagious laughter, and joyful spirit. He had a way of bringing happiness into a room and was never afraid to dance, laugh, and enjoy life. His presence brought warmth and joy to everyone around him, and his memory will forever live on through the countless lives he touched.
Above all, Paco was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He is survived by his beloved wife, Vilma, and his children, Priscilla, Donny, Zachary, and Delilah. His son in law Francisco, as well as his six grandchildren, who were the light of his life: Giselle, Yvette, Madelyn, Lucas, Izaiah, and Evelyn.
To his grandchildren, he was affectionately known as “Ampa” or “ Popo”. He loved his grandchildren more than anything in this world and cherished every moment he was able to spend with them. The love, laughter, and memories he created with them will remain in their hearts forever.
Paco is also survived by his mother, Estela Hernandez and father Francisco Ortega, his 4 siblings, 2 sister in laws, and one brother in law.
He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Maria Luisa Sanchez, Jesus Hernandez, paternal grandparents Gines Ortega, Herlinda Garza and uncle Juan Alberto Hernandez.
Paco’s life was a beautiful reflection of love, family, hard work, laughter, and joy. Although his time with us was far too short, the love he gave and the memories he created will continue to live on through his wife, children, grandchildren, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
He may no longer be dancing beside us, but his laughter, his love, and his beautiful spirit will dance in our hearts forever.
