Juanita Ruth Shaw Enoch of Denton went home to be with the Lord on Friday, March 6, 2015. Juanita was born September 30, 1920 to Joe and Willie Shaw near Slidell, TX. She graduated from Slidell High School and Texas Woman's University. She returned to Slidell to teach Home Economics.
Juanita was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, James Enoch, daughter, Glenda Haskins, and parents. She is survived by her other two children, Terry Enoch and wife Christie of Slidell and Dee Alamo and husband Mark of Red Oak, four grandchildren, Lauren Mathews, Billy James Enoch, JoAnn Enoch and Andy Alamo, 2 great grandchildren, Alex Mathews and Ashley Enoch, Glenda's husband Ben Haskins, sisters, Billie Irwin of Krum and Jolene Hartman of Lancaster, and cousin Betty Sue Jones of Denton.
Juanita was a member of First Baptist Church of Denton. She loved to cook, sew and crochet. She loved having friends and family drop by for visits. After raising her children, she returned to teaching Home Economics in Ponder for ten years.
Visitation will be Sunday, March 8, 2015 from 2:00 – 4:00 PM at DeBerry Funeral Directors. Funeral service will be Monday, March 9, 2015 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of DeBerry Funeral Directors. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Kenny Shaw, Charles Montgomery, Joe Ross Irwin, Steve Gramling, Jerry Bagley and Trevor Jones. Honorary pallbearers will be Huskey Morrow and Curtis Germany.
Mother resided at Good Samaritan Village for almost 20 years. She received the very best of care at every level there. The family would like to express all our love and gratitude to the staff of Good Samaritan. You are family to us.
