Juanita Jo Lauderdale passed away in Lewisville, Texas on July 4, 2014. She was born on October 23, 1922 to Eugene P. and Eula Mae Trull Jenkins in Avalon, Texas. She married Victor E. Lauderdale Jr. on March 26, 1942.

She was preceded in death by her husband, son Cecil, her parents, three brothers; Donald R. Jenkins, William O. Jenkins, Billy Jenkins; and three sisters; Virginia Moore, Gloria Gunn, and Maurine Corbin. She was a resident of Denton for 64 years.

Juanita is survived by her daughter, Jo Ann Merritt and husband Bill, son, Vic Lauderdale; four grandchildren, Michael Kay and wife Wendolin of Lewisville, Julie Lauderdale of Denton, Jo Lauderdale of Frisco and Chelsea Lauderdale of San Marcos; and three great grandchildren, Wendy Guerra, Patrick and Kassandra Kay. She is also survived by three sisters, Shirley Nobles, Nell Stewart, and Dorothy Crowe.

Juanita was a member of the First Cumberland Presbyterian Church of Denton. Juanita will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

The family will hold visitation on July 10, 2014 from 6-8 pm at Bill DeBerry Funeral Directors, 2025 W. University Dr. Denton, Texas. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, July 12, 2014 at Old Hall Cemetery in Lewisville, Texas at 11:00 am. Arrangements are being handled by Bill DeBerry Funeral Directors.
