Judy Faye Barksdale of Justin passed away on March 15,2022 at her home. She was born in Ft Worth, TX to Charles and Dessie Mae (Moore) Reavis on May 11, 1941. She was 80 years old.

Judy loved her family and was always including others in that group. She never met a stranger and was full of life. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, awesome Maw and devoted friend. Judy had the gift of hospitality and loved to cook and host family and friends for big laughter filled meals and huge game nights. She loved to quilt and sew and was always working on a project.

Judy was a devoted follower of Jesus Christ. As a young married couple, Richard and Judy prayed to receive Christ. They raised their family in the Fear and Admonition of the Lord. They were faithful and served whole heartedly in the church. Through life's challenges and heart aches Judy claimed the Joy of the Lord as her strength. She never lost sight of the Hope of Heaven.

She is survived by her daughters; Jackie Barksdale, of Trenton, TX. Kim Goggins and husband Dennis of Whitewright, TX., Selina Hurley and husband Hensley of Justin, TX, her son, Andy Faught of Sioux Falls, S.D., 9 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Barksdale, daughter Becky Barksdale and grandson Jonathan Faught.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 19, 2022 from 12:30 PM until 2:00 PM at First Baptist Church of Justin, in Justin TX. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM at the church. Interment will be held at Justin Cemetery.
