Julia Edna Keese Noles, better known as "Mom, Mema, Edna, and E.J.," of Navo, passed away Monday April 11, 2016 at Presbyterian Hospital in Denton, Texas. Edna was born on October 10, 1933 at home in Medina, Texas to Alfred Stanley Keese and Julia Edna Howard Keese.
She graduated from Medina High School in 1951 and then attended Jessie's Beauty College in Denton, Texas. She owned and operated her beauty shop, Noles Beauty Box, for many years and then co-owned and managed Noles Equipment with her husband, Tommy, and worked at FEMA in her later years.
Edna is survived by her husband of 48 years, Tommy Wilson Noles, son, Steve Evans, daughter, Sandy Evans Noles and husband John, stepson, Brent Noles, stepdaughters, Kathy Scott and husband Jerry, Karen Bryant and husband Jason, sisters, Anna Lee Hollimon, Laura (Dutch) Whitehead, and Billie Suthard, twelve grandchildren and many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and many other extended family members.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Deborah Ann Evans.
Visitation will be Wednesday April 13, 2016 at DeBerry Funeral Directors in Denton, Texas from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday April 14, 2016 at DeBerry Funeral Directors. Burial will be at Zion Cemetery in Frisco, Texas.
