In Loving Memory of Juliana Guerrero

February 7, 1930 – October 31, 2026

Juliana Guerrero was born in Caye Caulker, Belize, to her beloved mother, Alejandra Alamina, and father, Peter Young Sr. For 96 years, she lived with a heart devoted to God and a life that reflected His love. Her faith was her foundation, her comfort, and the light she carried into every room. She always looked forward to her daily Bible readings.

Wherever Juliana went, she spoke about God. She shared the Lord’s goodness with gentleness and conviction, and her words and example touched many hearts. She helped bring many souls closer to God. We believe that every life she encouraged and every soul she helped lead toward the Lord became a treasure she stored up in Heaven.

Juliana was kind to everyone, young and old. She was calm, patient, and so gentle that her family could hardly remember her ever being angry. She dearly loved children and faithfully taught Sunday school. When a little one needed help settling down in church, she would lovingly bring the child beside her and there they would stay. Her students loved her, and the lessons she planted in their hearts reached far beyond the classroom.

Family was one of God’s greatest gifts to Juliana. As a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother, she was happiest with her loved ones gathered near. She treasured every visit and every moment together. She loved to cook and share her cherished recipes.

Each day, Juliana made time for the things closest to her heart: reading her Bible, praying, and doing word searches. She loved the challenge of a word search and sometimes completed two books in a day. These daily routines kept her mind active and reflected the steady faith and determination that defined her life.

After a fall in December 2023 left her bedridden, Juliana’s body could no longer do all the things she loved, but her faith and loving spirit remained strong. She welcomed visitors with joy and treasured the closeness of her family. Even during this difficult season, her beautiful spirit continued to shine.

On Saturday, October 31, 2026, surrounded by her beloved children, grandchildren, family, friends, and church family, Juliana took her final breath and went home to be with the Lord she had loved and served throughout her life. Though our hearts ache in her absence, we thank God for the extraordinary gift of having loved her. We hold fast to the promise that God will wipe away every tear, and there will be no more death, sorrow, or pain.

“I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.” 2 Timothy 4:7 (KJV)

Mom, your prayers, your faith, your gentle voice, and your boundless love will live on in all of us. We will hear you whenever we speak of God, feel you in every family gathering, and remember you in every recipe and lesson you shared. Thank you for showing us how to love, how to serve, and how to trust the Lord.

We miss you beyond words, but we rejoice that you are safely home with Jesus. Until we meet again in Heaven, rest in the arms of your Savior. We love you, Mom. Goodbye for now.

"We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord." 2 Corinthians 5:8 (KJV)
