Julie Elizabeth Lightfoot, 44 of Denton passed away at home on Wednesday, November 27, 2013. She was born August 10, 1969 in Dallas to Gene and Patsy Davis. Julie grew up in the Copper Canyon area in Denton County. She attended Denton public schools and graduated from Denton High School. She later graduated from the University of North Texas. She married Randall Lightfoot on October 29, 2005.

In her early years of teaching Elementary Education she worked for the Denton ISD. Julie retired this year from teaching Reading and Elementary Education from the Lake Dallas ISD.

She is survived by her husband Randall Lightfoot of Denton, two twin boys, Joshua Ray and Lonnie Martin McCloud both of Denton, brother David Davis of Carrollton, sisters, Rebecca Davis, Patty Wilt and Laurie Forsythe all of Denton. Julie was preceded in death by her parents.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 30th at the Lake Shores Baptist Church in Lake Dallas; funeral service will begin at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. Homer Walkup officiating.
