Julius Charles Vita, of Denton, Texas, passed away at his home the morning of January 5 ^th , 2017. He was 72 years of age. JC was born March 8 ^th , 1944, and later graduated from South Oak Cliff High School.

In 1963 he married Patricia Genzel, and together they had 4 children: Julius Bryan, Kealine DeAnn, Joseph Emerson, and Patrick August. JC and Patricia divorced in 2003. JC worked in sales at Kemp, Benjamin Moore, and Sherwin Williams. JC enjoyed motor racing, drag racing in particular, both as a spectator and behind the scenes, making the cars as fast as possible. Vita Racing is a name still spoken of with fondness and respect in the local racing community.

JC is survived by his former wife Patricia, their children Kealine, Joseph, and Patrick, as well as his grandchildren William, Savannah, and Caleb, and his brother Danny. He is predeceased by his brother Lanny, son Julius Bryan, and parents Agnes Estella and Julius August.

A memorial service will be held at DeBerry Funeral Directors at 2025 W. University Denton, TX on January 10 ^th at 11 AM.
