June Elizabeth Godfrey peacefully passed away at the age of 85 in Denton, Texas on Monday, June 10th 2024. She was born in San Antonio, Texas to James and Marjorie Chalkley on August 8, 1938. She died as she lived – steadfast in her faith and devoted to the love of her life, her husband of 63 years, Willard "Bill" Tage Godfrey with whom she is now reunited.

June was an exceptional mother and incredible human being. Her beautiful soul embodied the best qualities including unconditional love. She truly lived her life to the fullest, raising six children, enjoying such hobbies as gardening, traveling and street rodding through which she made many strong and lasting friendships.

She leaves behind her cherished children: Donna Catherine Brady, Darlene Carol McNeill, Diane Elizabeth Coffey, Robert Lynch Godfrey and will join her two sons Willard Tage Godfrey II and James Leonard Godfrey whom proceeded her in death; Grandchildren: Kirsten Elisabeth Johnson, Devron Lynn Coffey, James Timothy Godfrey, Dalton Chad Coffey, Justen Timothy Dirsch, Nathan Blake McNeill, Jacob Amadeus Godfrey, Matthew Raymond Godfrey, Dylan Taylor Coffey, Kelly Jean Tilley, Danielle Nicole McNeill; Great Grandchildren: Spencer Liam Godfrey and Brooks Michael Johnson, and fur baby, Buddy her beloved dog.

Family, friends and others whose lives June touched are invited to the funeral held on Friday, June 14, 2024 at the St. Mark Catholic Church, 6500 Crawford Rd. Argyle TX. 76226. Services begin with a viewing at 10:00 AM followed by mass at 10:30 AM.
