Karen Francis Leverton, 62, of Denton passed away peacefully at her home on October 31, 2020. She was born in Chiseldon, England on April 21, 1958 to Edward and Elisabeth (Long) Gardner.
Karen was an Air Force "Brat" & lived a lot of places growing up she spent almost 3 years in Japan, Myrtle Beach & Ft Walton Beach to name a few,when her Dad was sent overseas to Vietnam or Thailand they would go live with Grandparents in Oxford England.
Karen loved her family fiercely and was a natural born nurturer/maternal figure for many. She had a special way of making everyone feel welcome and at ease around her. She always lent a listening ear, judgement free with those she held lovingly close to her. she spent her freetime gardening, playing & laughing with her grandchildren. She played in the Denton Area Darts Association League for years and loved a glass of wine at night. Her favorite vacation always involved the beach and seashell hunting with the love of her life, Steve. She was an amazing cook known for her annual holiday sausage rolls and shepherd's pie amongst other dishes. She had a sassy, witty humor most found charming and loved to be around.
She is survived by her husband, Steve Leverton of Denton, daughters, Elisabeth "Nikki" Leverton and husband, Patrick France of Denton, Jaimie Leverton and partner Tony Pollock of Austin, sister, Vickie Seward and husband Rudy, brother, Andrew Gardner, her father, Edward Gardner, and three grandchildren, Alexander, Gwenyth, & Sophia, as well as several loving relatives in England.
She was preceded in death by her mother, and brother, Phillip Gardner.
