Obituary
Kate Warren Serur passed away peacefully on June 26, 2015. She was born on December 1, 1931 to Leon Walker and Opal Mays Warren in Greenville, Texas.
Kathe married Joseph Serur on December 30, 1950 in Greenville, Texas. They moved to Denton in 1958 where they owned The Colligate Shoppe and raised their two children. She loved her community and served for many years with the Denton Benefit League, Ariel Club, Garden Club, Meals On Wheels and the Alter Society of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
Kate is survived by her daughter, Susan Dean, son, Sam Serur and grandchildren Hunter and Hailey Dean.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Serur, parents and brother.
The family will receive friends at DeBerry Funeral Directors on Tuesday, June 30, 2015 from 5 to 7 PM. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, July 2, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio, Texas.
To all of those who knew her, Kate was the most loyal friend and the most wonderful and loving mother and grandmother. Kate Serur was truly one of a kind.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made to the American Juvenile Diabetes Foundation.
