Kathleen Smith-Parsons, 82, of Argyle, Texas, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family.
Kathleen grew up in Argyle and remained there to raise her children, creating a lifetime of memories in the community she loved. Born with a heart full of love and a spirit full of life, she dedicated her years to her family and to sharing her many gifts with those around her. She was best known for her generous heart, her joyful laughter, and her incredible talent for sewing. Kathleen found happiness in creating things with her hands, stitching love into every piece she made for her children, grandchildren, and friends. Her handmade creations will continue to wrap her family in comfort for years to come.
Above all else, Kathleen was most proud of her family. She was a devoted mother to James Good, Blinda Malone (husband Butch), and Jason Good, and the cherished grandmother of Michael Richie (wife Charla), Michelle Heiser (husband Allen), Brandon Good (wife Ashley), and Mat Good (wife Tracy). Her love extended to the next generations as well, where she was blessed with great-grandchildren: Bayne O'Rear, Addyson Heiser, Alyssa O'Rear, Teagan Rojas, Layla Rojas, Kaydence Pate, Paisley Good, Ryder Good, Lucy Good, and Nico Good. She is also survived by 4 nieces and nephews, all of whom she loved dearly.
Kathleen was preceded in death by her beloved husband Jay Parsons, her father Travis Smith, her mother Elice Smith, and her brothers David Smith and Travis Smith.
Kathleen's legacy will be remembered in the countless lives she touched with her kindness, warmth, and unwavering devotion to her family. She leaves behind not only treasured memories but also a reminder of the beauty of a life lived with love, laughter, and giving.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 3rd, from 5:00–7:00 PM at DeBerry Funeral Home, 2025 W University Dr, Denton, TX 76201.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 4th, at 11:00 AM at DeBerry Funeral Home, followed by a graveside service at Roselawn Memorial Park.
Her family finds comfort in knowing that while she may be gone from sight, the love she poured into their lives will remain forever.
